Platform & Product

BioGreen360 has developed a comprehensive set of integrated innovations that can be customized and adapted to our customers’ specific needs which completely changes the way food waste can be managed. We combine our smart scale technologies, distributed digester processing technology, smart storage, downstream product development capability all enabled by our cloud based data and Agentic AI technologies. These solutions are flexible to service our customers in one of three ways: processing food waste at our customers sites, processing our customers food waste at a local/regional offsite hub processing center, or deliver a data, analytic and AI tool set we recently launched as our Food Cycling IQ product. Our systems have been designed to help our customers transform their food waste into an asset and gain valuable insights in order to lower their food waste costs

Our platform was created specifically to address the needs of small to midsize commercial customers who have multiple locations (Enterprise Clients). These customers have specific cost and operational challenges that our Food Cycling Platform was built specifically to address. That said, we have recently found that our services are being sought out by single facility customers as well as very large food waste generators.

Our innovations have been designed to lower overall costs associated both with food waste itself, but also to provide customers with insights to lower their broader food service operating costs. As well we have innovations that make the supply chain management of our substrate material creating cost reducing efficiencies. Lastly, we have focused on converting food waste into a valuable resource that be used to create multiple downstream products that we can share with customers. In combination we believe that we can reduce our customers existing waste costs while providing a better outcome for food waste. We are so confident that we offer a cost reduction guarantee.

No. BioGreen360 positions itself as a food-cycling platform focused on processing, diversion, and data, and works alongside existing local composters and product development companies as well as waste and recycling haulers to transport material and create the finished soil products.

Actually, our Food Cycling Platform was created to be an end to end solution for our customers however BioGreen360 was not established to be a vertically integrated solution provider. We have developed a series of plug-in innovations around data, smart scales, processing equipment, smart storage and downstream product development. These services were developed as tools for our customers but also are very synergistic with other waste and recycling partners that want to partner with us in addressing their customers. We welcome partnerships with other waste and recycling companies. We have quite a few today.

BioGreen360 believes that food waste is most cost efficiently addressed by processing it as close to our customers as possible, The BG3 and BG7 are digesters that were designed originally to be placed at our customers locations. These systems are digesters designed with an integrated biocatalysis. These two technologies work together to process food waste and turn it from waste into a valuable substrate material that can be turned into one of 7 products. The BG3 can process up to 600lbs per day per machine and the BG7 can process up to 4400 lb per day per machine. Our machines can be placed directly at our customers site, but BioGreen360 also offers our Hub program where we take our customer food waste offsite and take it to a regional processing center that would have a series of machines processing the food waste.

Of course we are biased here, but BioGreen360 has heavily invested in the past 8 years to creating state-of-the-art processing systems vs its competitors with many differentiating features; Our systems do not require any clean water required to help its process, our biocatalysis is the most robust on the market from what we have experienced in that we can process almost all mixed post consumer food waste very efficiently, we have tuned the machine to create a valuable substrate material that can be further processed into one of 7 different beneficial reuse products, our substrate is cured and inert but retains all of its nutrient and energy value, we do not have any effluent out of the machines like our competitors, 100% of our material is beneficially reused, there is no permitting required for our onsite systems, installation only requires normal appliance electrical outlet and internet connection, the systems can be placed in kitchens or back docks, these machines are very easy to use and to train,

Biocatalysis is nothing more than biology helping accelerate what mother nature will do in time. Our biocatalysis is proprietary and is the processing engine of our systems. We have a number of selected different microbes and enzymes that work together to convert all the different types of food waste, sugars, lignin's, meats, fats, oils, bones, starch's etc. Based on what we have seen on the market, our biocatalysis has the best processing performance to address the wide diversity of post consumer food waste.

Not in our case for several reasons. We use very common off the shelf biology. These microbes and enzymes are used in many different products you would use in your everyday life. These microbes and enzymes however, have been carefully selected and mixed into our trade secret recipe based on their processing capabilities. None of our microbes are genetically modified or enhanced. Additionally, as the processing activity is being completed in our BG3 and BG7 machines, we effectively kill off all of the biocatalysis to render our substrate material inert.

A BG Smart Scale is the onsite hardware used by both our BG Hub and Food Cycling IQ services that scans and weighs the food waste stream/s at the point of discard. Once we capture this data, we then integrate other BioGreen and Customers’ information that creates a robust data analytic platform. Additionally, our Smart Scales have cameras that capture images of the food waste which feeds into our Agentic AI platform that then provides our Customers’ recommendations to lower their overall food service costs not just the costs associated with their food waste. Our Smart Scales are available in a tabletop configuration for space-constrained kitchens or a toter-sized configuration for higher-volume operations. We are finalizing our design for pallet scales for very large food waste operations.

The quick answer is no. All three service offerings provide the same deep rich data per site and across the enterprise. The only difference is how the base data is captured. The BG Hub and BG Data services both use the same onsite BG Smart Scale/s and the same Food Cycling IQ™ analysis, so both deliver the same granular data insight. BG3/BG7 onsite services have the capturing capabilities built into the machine. That said, additional smart scale can be added to facilities that host a BG3 or BG7.

Yes. Many customers use BG3 at some locations and BG Hub or Food Cycling IQ services at others. Even with multiple service offerings, BioGreen360 can provide one consistent reporting standard across the entire portfolio. Our systems are flexible to customize to address our customers need.

BioGreen360 has spent years tuning its processing technology to create a high value substrate material that can be further processed into multiple beneficial reuse pathways such as soil amendments, organic liquid and solid fertilizers, animal and insect feed as well as feedstocks to produce biogenic energy. This provides us great flexibility in each of the local markets we serve to produce fully beneficial reuse valuable products which allows us to achieve our zero landfill goals while being able to lower the costs for our customers.

BG3 and BG7 were designed to address common issues associated with storing or staging wet, heavy organic waste onsite, including odor and pests. Our on site processing technologies process food waste daily before the food waste has a chance to rot or sour. Once processed, our material is rendered inert and can be stored indefinitely without any biologic activity that would create odors. This is a major benefit we hear from our customers. This also helps us significantly reduce expensive pick up charges that often happen as frequent as 5 times per week. We have many customers that went from daily pickups to once every 90 days.

All of our services have been developed with the goal of not adding any operational burden to our customers. Our services maintain high quality white glove service which includes installation, multilingual training, and ongoing service and monitoring for maintenance, pickup and delivery, as well as data analytics and AI operational recommendations, so the program is designed to run smoothly, add significant more insight to customers’ operations without adding any significant staff burden.

BG Hub uses the same onsite BG Smart Scale as BG Data and AI services to capture and measure the waste stream and provide customers with robust operational insights. BioGreen then adds a fully managed collection and logistics service on top where it uses typical toters to store the food waste and the BioGreen360 handles/manages the pickup and diversion from landfill and directs the food waste to one of its regional processing hubs. The result is that the customer gets a verified non-landfill outcome, lower costs associated with its food waste, with no change or added operational burden to how it has traditionally managed its food waste.

Food Cycling IQ™ is BioGreen360's AI-driven analysis engine, developed in partnership with AWS, that classifies waste data and turns it into specific, actionable recommendations. It amplifies the data collection and analysis behind all three Food Cycling™ Platform services: On-site services, BG Hub, and data only services. This is a premium offering that provides insights and analyzed recommendations to customers about their food services operations that has the ability to lower not only costs associated with food waste but also lowers the operating costs of our customers food service operations broadly. This is a powerful differentiator for BioGreen360.

We are a bit protective of the analysis we generate for our customers as a competitive differentiator. However, our Food Cycling IQ product captures base information at our customers site through the use of our BG Smart Scales and or with our on site digesters. The level of information being captured can be customized for each customer. In some cases customers want very high level information and in others, they want to drill down to every plate served. We then have developed a series of data importing from both our customers and from our own database that we have developed over the past 4 years. From there, we perform numerous analyses for our customers as a base offering. We have recently added an Agentic AI product that takes the base information and overlays optical identification to perform analyses for our customers that then generates operational and menu changes to help optimize the profitability of the food and beverage operations as a premium offering.

All of the base data captured in our Food Cycling IQ system are actual data. There are elements of the AI services that make weight and value estimates in order to develop the recommendations. However, the system also tracks actual period over period financial results, and the system continues to refine its estimates over time as the database builds. As a result our customers enjoys actual cost savings and in many cases these savings can be substantial.

BioGreen has developed a set of flexible pricing plans to suit each of our customers’ needs. Pricing is structured as a predictable subscription with various term options, sized to each property's volume and configuration and price guarantee match. Exact pricing and terms are confirmed after meeting with the customer and getting the necessary information to understand these variables.

BioGreen360 has a certified Food Cost Reduction Guarantee. We meet with customers to identify their needs and craft a custom solution and through that process BioGreen360 will guarantee we can lower our customers’ costs during the term while maintaining all of the sustainability benefits.

A business case is typically built from avoided disposal and hauling costs, reduced consumables and labor, and any measurable food-cost reduction enabled by better data, netted against subscription and implementation costs. Any additional business booked directly as a result of having the Food Cycling Platform ™ is also attributed as an ROI data point BioGreen360 has some robust case studies where our customers are going from a base annual disposal cost of $25,000 to a positive savings of $50,000. We also have customers selling sustainability conferences where they are charging a premium for an event that we can help them certify what happens to the food waste. One customer reported an increase in conference sales of $3 mil in one year attributable to our Food Cycling Platform.

Not necessarily. BioGreen360 can complement an existing hauling arrangement, particularly when starting with our food Cycling IQ, services.

Sustainability & Compliance

It's a designation properties can display on menus, host stands, digital materials, or other signage, indicating they meet BioGreen360's verified food-waste diversion milestones.

The platform is designed to support non-landfill diversion goals. Whether it satisfies a specific jurisdiction's mandate should be confirmed against that jurisdiction's requirements rather than assumed.

Yes, data from our Food Cycling Platform is relevant to certain LEED pathways and provides credit to our customers..

The BioGreen360 Food Cycling Platform ™ provides certifiable carbon offset reporting for the food waste it processes for its customers. This data helps customers report on their sustainability efforts relative food waste management and also creates financial value for its customers.

Unfortunately no. BioGreen360 has been designed to help customers lower the production of food waste and by doing so lowers the cost for customers associated from that food waste. However, as best we try, we will not be able to eliminate food waste altogether. BioGreen360’s second priority is to make sure that all food waste generated can be repurposed back to growing new food. We certify that all food wasted and put through the BioGreen360 Food Cycling Platform ™ is being diverted from landfill and beneficially reused within the local area. This way our customers can feel better about their operations while reducing their overall costs.

For Beneficial-Reuse & Waste-Management Partners

BioGreen360 has developed its services to be complementary and synergistic with other waste companies. Our Food Cycling IQ platform can be plugged into their customers’ contracts with little friction creating customer stickiness. The other elements of our Food Cycling Platform can be leveraged to lower their customers cost and also benefit from the additional value being created downstream from product revenues and carbon offset credits.
